This event is open to the public; it is a community oriented event with food, drinks and entertainment. Come join the fun and learn more about the film, TV and digital media industry in your local community. Admission is $10 for FFPC Members, $15 for Non-Members and $5 for Children. |
| The Facts: |
In 2007 there were close to 102,000 Floridians employed by the film & entertainment industry. Many of these professionals are currently underemployed, unemployed or are working out-of-state; others have even moved themselves and their families out of Florida. Florida's professional film and entertainment industry workforce, support services, ancillary businesses and local community members are ready, willing and able to be a significant part of the solution to Florida's long-term economic recovery and sustainable growth. By advocating for changes to Florida's current incentive program, the FFPC hopes to assist legislators in putting Floridians back to work; putting more money into the hands of small business owners throughout the State; and ultimately helping to insure that the film, TV and digital media industry continues to flourish and grow in Florida, becoming part of a long-term solution which will increase sustainable revenue for the State. |
